Vancouver Restaurants 1
November 29, 2010Places I ate this weekend:
1) Saturday for lunch: Budgies Burritos
Location: 44 Kingsway, Vancouver.
(close to Kingsway & Main)
Great mexican place. It’s vegan, but still worth a visit if you like a good burrito. You get a lot of food for your money. The place looks a little sketch from the outside, but all the best places do, right? It was quite eclectic on the inside too with all kinds of weird portraits on the walls. I got the Jonny-O with no Jalapenos. And I’d recommend it to anyone.
2) Sunday for lunch: Eight 1/2 Restaurant Lounge
151 East 8 Avenue, Vancouver
Good breakfast menu served after lunch, and not too far from my new church. Music was at a good level for conversation. I had The Crosby Omelette. And the water came with a cucumber in it, which was different, but refreshing. I think I’ll be going back there again soon..
3) Sunday for dinner: Fogg’s N Suds Restaurant
10720 Cambie Road, Richmond
Awesome burger, and good beer list. Anywhere that serves Innis & Gunn is a winner in my books. The yam fries are something that you can’t go wrong with, so I’m glad that was an option. Only $1.50 extra for that. One drawback was that they could do with a bit more of the usual pub fare.. The best part was that the place is not too far from home. Walking distance? Maybe…
I want to try all these places! Mostly the vegan burrito though, sounds awesome!
